Barns and Fields and Cows…Oh My! Virginia Engagement Photographer

shaynicole on Mar 30th 2010

Don’t get me wrong…I love the beaches, sunsets and palm trees here in Florida but it was such a blast to travel back to Harrisonburg, VA last week for a change of scenery and the chance to do some really fun photo shoots including this engagement session for two really special friends of mine Sarah and Micah.  Some fun facts about this couple…Sarah’s laugh is pretty much famous in Harrisonburg VA and could literally be picked out of a crowd. Micah, well, this guy lived in a hammock on the campus of James Madison University for one whole semester.  Needless to say this is one of the most fun and kindhearted couples you will ever meet.  Here is a sneak peak at some of my favorite images from their shoot!

Lindsey and Matt’s E-session! Tampa Engagement Photographer

shaynicole on Mar 11th 2010

Lindsey and Matt entered the Couple’s Session Giveaway back in February and although they did not win first place, they did have almost 4,500 votes (I mean how is that possible!?) bringing them in at second place and earning them their own discounted session – perfect timing since they just recently got engaged!  This engagement shoot was a special one b/c we got to incorporate some locations that meant a lot to them.  We started the shoot in downtown Dade City, FL where Matt grew up and where they had their first date – at the super fun looking Kafe Kokopelli Restuarant!  (Too bad it was closed or I would have had to do a food sampling for inspiration!)  From there we took a little tour of downtown (quite cute I must say) and no photo shoot would be complete without almost getting chased down by an angry man in nothing but a bath towel who didn’t like me taking pictures of his abandoned fruit stand (watermelon pics) haha.  If that weren’t enough excitement we finished up the shoot at a very special location…the home that Lindsey and Matt just purchased!  This will be their first home together and they had literally just closed on the house a few days earlier so it was completely empty and made for some special pics as they look back on this really special and exciting time in their lives! Lindsey and Matt, I love you both and am so excited for you guys to start your  new life together!

Just a teaser!

shaynicole on Mar 9th 2010

Things are crazy busy this week as I am trying to wrap up a lot in the office before we travel back to VA for a few days!  I had a bunch of fun sessions this past week and am hoping to get a few new Sneak Peaks up before I go but here is one little guy who was the star of his own shoot this week!  Can you guess who he is??

Carrie and Paul’s St. Pete Beach Wedding! St. Pete Wedding Photographer

shaynicole on Mar 4th 2010

This past Friday Carrie and Paul had a beautiful sunset beach ceremony  with an indoor reception in the Presidential Ballroom on the penthouse floor of the Grand Plaza on St. Pete beach!  We had a gorgeous, if not chilly, day with hardly a cloud in the sky.  What I loved about Carrie and Paul from the moment we met for their consultation is that they were super laid back and didn’t want your typical traditional wedding pictures. What mattered the most to them was making sure that their friends and family had a good time and that their pictures captured that.  Not to mention their reception was quite the not-to-be-missed dance party (see below)!  I could have stayed all night!  Here is a little sneak peak at a few of my favorite images from the event. Carrie and Paul I wish you the best life together!
