Zeke is sure to be one of the most laid back kids in the world if he handles the rest of life the way he handled this photo shoot!  He was the picture perfect baby, hardly even stirring despite all of my crazy ideas for these images!  It helped that he was born a month early and was teeny tiny, curled up in a little ball and sure to sleep through just about anything!  This guy was amazing to photograph and I am so excited with the way that the images turned out!  I really wanted to push some ideas with the new style that I have been incorporating into my baby work and these images turned out to be exactly what I had hoped!  Here are a few of my favorites from his big photo shoot!

Jackie and Kevin are an awesome couple whom I have had the privilege of knowing through Aletheia.  We are so excited that they are engaged and getting married this summer!  The best thing about photographing this couple was how effortlessly relaxed they were around each other.  Kevin is a goof-ball and constantly had Jackie laughing while sweet spirited Jackie brought out the more tender side of Kevin.  It was easy to see that they adore and respect each other and just love being together.  Jackie and Kevin, we are so excited that two such awesome people have found each other!!  Here are a few of my favorite images from their shoot!

I mean, what more could we possibly add to life right now to make it more interesting?  A new baby on the way on July 5th sounds like enough of a challenge to me but why stop there?!  That would be all-together too easy and not my style!  I mean, you are talking to girl who graduated from college, turned 21 and got married all within a two month span of time.  Why not get it all out of the way at once right !?  Well, funny how that seems to be our path in life, Graham and I, and it is only about to get more crazy…

Within the next few months, hopefully by the end of March, Graham and I will be making a BIG relocation….. to Tampa, FL!  That’s right folks,  it’s time to replace those images of weddings nestled between the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley with images of beach-side weddings at sunset and lots of flamingos…well, hopefully not the flamingos…but you get the picture (no pun intended).  Grab coffee with me sometime and I would love to share the details of HOW IN THE WORLD we ended up with plans to move to Florida but needless to say, we are really really excited about what this next year has in store for us.

As we transition into becoming parents, I will also be transitioning my business to the Tampa Bay area and hope to start taking Florida weddings this fall and be doing my photography “full time” by 2010.  With that said, I will likely no longer be available for Virginia weddings starting this year but I will gladly refer you on to some excellent photographers in the VA area!!

Thank you for all of the support and encouragement that you  have given me as I established by business here.  It is a little scary to have to start over from scratch in a whole new place but we are excited about the new things that we will be able to be a part of in Tampa and I know confidently that it was not my doing that made my business grow here…it was God blessing it from the beginning when I wasn’t even sure what I was doing.
